Chatbots and the US election.

Hi All,
I was lucky enough to be given a tour of Amelia’s brain (the most human like digital human). You can see this in the Library. What is fascinating about her is that if you ask her about things that have not been programmed in, she actually employs logic to figure out an answer. So she was asked about who she supports in the US election (and of course what she said is private to her and who asked her) but what was interesting was, although she and the interviewer appeared to have very different political leanings, she employed logic to understand why the interviewer thought the way they did. That is not actually programmed in there per se I was told but she does have observational learning programmed in so that, for example, if she is working as a customer service bot, and something is asked that she cannot answer and she hands it over to a humman, she is still listening to what the human does so that next time that situation arises, she can handle it herself. (observational learning). It seems now she is teaching herself to logically understand points of view and reason things out now. Fascinating. Take a look at her brain in that interview.
