Case Study:
Use AI to Access Insights in Mountains of Power point with Chatbots
Using AI and Chatbots to Identify and Access Insights in Mountains of Power point Market Research Data
In this case study the client had numerous staff changes on their team and felt that knowledge transfer about all the information in the existing market research results presentations was difficult to get up to speed on due to the sheer number of powerpoints of results presentations. So they wanted to find out if there was a way to interrogate all the power point presentations easily and accurately to access needed information.
The Client Problem
• Lots of insights -stored in power point presentations
• Staff changes meant knowledge lost
• Wanted to enable access of existing insights easily
The Solution
- Collated all the power point results reports data into a data base
- Created therapy area dictionaries using computational linguistics
- Created natural language processing analyses (a sub-type of machine learning in AI) to ensure accurate interpretation of the language and meaning e.g. entity extraction (object, subject or action), modes of intent (subjective, implicit, explicit), intent extraction (locutionary, illocutionary and perlocutionary)
- Created a chat bot with that knowledge and access to the database so anyone could access the chat bot either via text or voice and ask questions E.g. “What is the key unmet need uncovered in this patient segment?’ “What imagery will speak to this target segment?”
The Outcome
• Knowledge database accessed and power point can be queried easily using natural language by everyone needing it
• The more interactions with users and questions it had, the more it learns and the more predictive it becomes
• Next steps – program it to alert other people things they may need to know, and link to calendars so that if a meeting with an agency the chatbot can pull out some key things needed for the meeting from the database
• Add other languages to the database
